About Us

Georgians for Family Law Reform (a.k.a. Georgians for Child Support Reform) are working to make Georgia’s family laws fair and equitable because children deserve to be parented and financially supported by both parents.

Our main premises are the following:

1. Family law should reflect economic reality and equal financial responsibility should be expected from both parents.
2. Family law should help both parents stay involved with their children after divorce. Children fare better as children and as later adults when both parents are heavily involved in their lives.
3. Family law should assist in the reduction of conflict between separated and divorced parents - the legal counsel and law should not incite conflict.
